OVERVIEW

The tour starts, at approximately 7:45 A.M. when you are picked up from your Resort / Accommodation in a new comfortable air-conditioned passenger vehicle and travel to LAKE BARRINE in the Atherton Tablelands, where you can relax and have a delicious DEVONSHIRE TEA. Enjoy Coffee and Scones at the LAKESIDE TEAHOUSE overlooking beautiful LAKE BARRINE and observe Whistling Ducks swimming gracefully. After your Devonshire Tea, you will enjoy a relaxing BOAT CRUISE with informative commentary, whilst gliding over tranquil waters. On your return view the 1000 year old Twin Kauri Pines, amongst Autralia's largest. Then sit back and RELAX, and enjoy a GOURMET LUNCH at LAKE BARRINE.

Then we travel to LAKE EACHAM, with a SPECIAL and UNIQUE INTERPRETIVE ECO TOUR with DENISE, through magnificent WORLD HERITAGE RAINFOREST. View Massive Buttress Roots, Strangler Figs and Liane vines coiling their way around massive Pioneer Rainforest Trees.

Be on the lookout for the Musky Rat Kangaroo, Scrub Turkey(Brush) and Stripped Possum (Nocturnal). Often heard are Whip Birds, Wompoo Pigeons, Victoria Riflebirds and Chowchilla (ground dwelling birds). On coastal areas, we may be fortunate to see the endangered Cassowary.

Then we head back towards the coast, down the EAST PALMERSTON range, for a refreshing SWIM at the GOLDEN HOLE, Or see some fantastic WATERFALLS, at the famous JOSEPHINE FALLS. Here we enjoy AFTERNOON TEA, with Homemade, Cakes/Biscuits, with Tea/Coffee, allowing you to finish the tour, its also time to reflect on your SPECIAL and UNIQUE ECO TOUR, hoping to impart special Memories, to keep and treasure. The very small group allows you to be treated as V.I.P's, at the end of your tour, there is a COURTESY RETURN TRANSFER to your Resort/Accommodation, approximately.6:30P.M.

Listening to the stories of the ABORIGINAL RAINFOREST PEOPLE, these people lived in the now listed WORLD HERITAGE RAINFORESTS. They walked long distances to get to the Atherton Tablelands and Coastal Areas and obtained all their sustenance from the RAINFOREST (including food and shelter).

Learn how the ABORIGINAL RAINFOREST PEOPLE used Lawyer Cane and Licuala Fan Palms to make Midja's and processed the highly toxic seed of the Black Bean Seeds to become edible.

Listen to the stories of the endangered Cassowary, and the ABORIGINAL LEGENDS of the famous BABINDA BOULDERS.
